Diamond cut grip brass handle and hardened steel point for proven punching power. Window Punch measures approximately 5"L x 5/8" diameter.
The window punch is designed to break auto glass, allowing you to escape in the advent of an accident where the car doors are damaged or impossible to open. This is especially useful where the car is submerged in water, and the pressure will not allow you to open the car doors, until the car is completely filled with water.
To use, you simply place the point against the glass, and push until an internal spring pops, shattering the window and allowing your exit.
Many people fear bridges and possible water submersion. Having a window punch readily available, adds a small measure of peace of mind. They are inexpensive, and at 5 inches would fit easily into the glove compartment, under the seat, etc, making a great tool to add to your road emergency kit.
